What We Do
Caring for a Cause is a Non Profit Organization that helps families in need through community events and fundraisers. We reach out to those who have been faced with circumstances beyond their control. Caring for a Cause assist families financially as well as supports them with other needs that arise from unforeseen events. We have built a network of people and organizations that are willing to step in and provide assistance in many different ways. We will also assist other small non profits in raising monies for their particular cause.
It is our mission to bring the local community together to help our neighbors that are in need. Our events are geared to draw the most support possible according to the family and its particular need. During a season of hardship and uncertainty we strive to make our fundraisers an enjoyable time for everyone while making a difference to the families that we are helping
Our first event was the Team Maddie Baseball and Softball tournament that was held at Warren Holder Park to raise money for Maddie Briscoe. Maddie is a second grader at Ola Elementary that was diagnosed in Sept. 2010 with stage 4 neuroblastoma. The fundraiser was very successful raising nearly $27,000.00. At that point we decided we wanted to continue to help local families and that’s where Caring for a Cause started.
